Getting Here
Option I: From downtown using The Beijing Chengde Expressway:
Take the Beijing Chengde Expressway (京承高速公路) towards 承德.
Take exit #13 off the Chengde Expressway. It is called Bei Tai Lu (北台路). (Towards Kuan Gou 宽沟 and Qiao Zi桥梓)
Once paying and going through the toll booth, continue to drive through 3 traffic lights towards Kuan Gou 宽沟 (from toll booth to 3 rd set of lights it is 4.1 km).
At that third set of lights, there is a white sign with brown writing and a large digital screen that points towards Mutianyu Great Wall. This is a nice scenic ride winding around the mountain, note reservoir on your right.
After driving 4.2 km (from that third light), note a sign that says BeiZhai. Bear right following the sign. Continue to drive past a Great Wall sign located above a large statue of a walnut with fruit.
• About 2.7 km after the sign, you'll pass the Goose and Duck Ranch on the left. Note the Huairou Tourist Info Center in front of you, just wind around to the right following the main road.
• Just in front is the turn off for Ren Ji Golf Hills 人济庄园. That turn off is on your left, but you will remain on the road going towards Mutianyu, the sign says 15 km. Be careful: lots of little dogs running around here.
• About 4.2 km from the turn off for Ren Ji Golf Hills, you will come to an obvious T junction.
At the T junction, turn LEFT towards Mutianyu written in Chinese with 11 km posted on the sign (be careful, here you must yield to traffic).
Note the "Welcome to Bohai Town" sign.
Keep winding up the mountain, for about 8.1km, pass under the aqueduct.
Take your second right off the Mutianyu Rotary 慕田峪环岛.
Go 200 meters, take your first right.
Go 1 km, bear right at the Y (note big sign in Chinese and our Xiaolumian logo sign)
Once bearing right, travel on that narrow road (note fruit trees on your right-hand side) for about 1 km more.
See a newly renovated village home on your left with a small Xiaolumian logo sign in Chinese 小庐面
From Xiaolumian, you will go .3 km by taking a right across the bridge, by the town center, by the new Beiganla(n)r restaurant and down to a gravel road.
Go .1 km on the gravel road to reach the Brickyard 瓦厂! 
(Takes approximately 45 minutes):
Proceed on the road that passes Mrs. Shanen's, etc.
You will come to the Luo Ma Traffic Circle/rotary 罗马环岛
Take the second right off the Luo Ma Traffic Circle/rotary罗马环岛.
That road is called Tian 天(Heaven) Bei 北(North) Lu 路(Road).
Go 2.8km north after turning off the rotary.
Go under the bridge and take a right to get on the Airport (North) Expressway
机场高速公路(North - Go in the direction of Chengde 承德)
Go about 4km on the Ji Chang Expressway机场高速公路towards Chengde承德.
Then, bear right onto the JingCheng Expressway (京承高速公路), taking ramp 1B towards Chengde 承德.
Go 20 kilometers on the Jingcheng Expressway (京承高速公路), then take exit #13 off the Jingcheng Expressway(京承高速公路).

Once bearing right, travel on that narrow road (note fruit trees on your right-hand side) for about 1 km more.
See a newly renovated village home on your left with a small Xiaolumian logo sign in Chinese 小庐面
From Xiaolumian, you will go .3 km by taking a right across the bridge, by the town center, by the new Beigala(n)r restaurant and down to a gravel road.
Go .1 km on the gravel road to reach the Brickyard 瓦厂!
